A pensar em Linho, até quando não vai haver linho

Ainda antes desta loucura começar, já tinha decidido que este ano não iria cultivar linho. A Primavera é intensa e este ano queria mais tempo para acabar de escrever e pôr cá fora alguns dos manuais que tenho em stand-by por falta de tempo (o do Linho incluído).

Ainda assim, chego a esta altura do ano e não consigo evitar olhar para o calendário lunar e observar a meteorologia para escolher o dia da sementeira. Se este ano fizéssemos um curso do Linho com a sementeira num sábado, o dia escolhido teria de ser o 4 de Abril!

A sementeira do Linho faz-se logo que acabem as geadas (mais cedo para quem está no litoral) e preferencialmente na lua crescente, um hábito que ganhei de quem me ensinou a cultivar e que gosto de respeitar. Este ano o ideal seria entre 1 e 7 de Abril.

Às vezes temos chuva intensa na lua certa, mas curiosamente nos anos desde que comecei a cultivar linho que mesmo nos períodos mais chuvosos se encontra uma aberta para fazer a sementeira..

The sowing of the flax is done as soon as the frosts end (earlier for those on the coast) and preferably on the crescent moon, a habit that I gained from those who taught me to cultivate and that I like to respect.
This year the ideal would be between 1 and 7 April

. Sometimes we have intense rain on the right moon, but interestingly enough, in the years since I started growing flax, even in the rainiest periods there is an opening to do the sowing.
