Urdindo a teia

Como cada vez há menos teares manuais, e cada vez menos se trabalham neles, ter a oportunidade de ver e ajudar a urdir uma teia é relativamente raro.
Já tinha reparado que a teia do tear da D.Ilídia estava quase no fim e por isso insisti com ela para urdirmos uma nova um dia destes. A insistência deve ter dado resultado porque lá consegui marcar o evento. Para ajudar trouxe a Maria Helena comigo - como eu tinha de fotografar e fazer uns pequenos vídeos, era precisa mais uma pessoa que ajudasse a manter as linhas desembaraçadas, colocar as canelas novas e a recolher a teia no final.
Começamos ao início da tarde e acabamos 5 horas depois, já de noite e sem grande luz para fotografar. A D.Ilídia ficou com a urdidura pronta e nós contentes por termos aprendido a urdir e por ter ajudado.
Estando o dia já no fim não pude ver a montagem da teia no tear, mas estou de olho num certo tear que sei que vai receber uma nova urdidura em breve, para registar essa parte.
Algumas das fotografias estão aqui, mas como esta é uma tarefa complexa só mesmo com o vídeo será possível começar a explicar como se faz.

I had noticed that D.Ilídia's loom warp was almost over, so I kept insisting with her to make a new one. The insistence must have worked because I managed to set a day for it and I brought Maria Helena to help out - since I had to make photos and a few videos, another person was needed to help keep the thread untangled, set the new bobbins and help remove the warp after it was done.
We started by the early afternoon and finished 5 hours later, when it was already night outside and without any light to take decent pictures. D.Ilídia got her warp done and we were happy to be able to help and learn how to do this.
The day was over and I couldn’t document the installation of the warp onto the loom, but I’ve got my eye on another loom that is going to get a new warp soon.
